Below, we have put together a list of our customers’ most common questions. Check out the answers to see if they address your inquiry. If you don’t see the information that you are looking for, a member of our team will be happy to chat with you.

Is tax added on?

  • Please provide your state reseller permit so we can take off the tax from your purchase

How do I make a payment?

  • Depending on the size of the order, we typically collect 20% deposits.

  • Orders are not processed until a deposit is made.

  • Blanket or recurring orders do not require additional deposits beyond the first one that is held

  • Order balance is to be paid upon pick-up from warehouse (COD). For an order requiring shipping our of our warehouse, product will not be released unless full balance is paid before it leaves our warehouse.

We accept credit cards through our payment processors: PayPal or Square.

You may make a direct deposit to the account information we provide on your invoice.

Can I request samples?

  • Yes! Please note:  Free samples are provided for wholesale customers only.

Do you make custom bags?

  • We are retailer friendly and will do whatever we can to ensure our customers put their best foot forward in the market, with unique customization options. 

  • We will customize types, sizes, location and placement of filters and injection ports. We will also customize bag colors and sizes. We will not write or mark the bags in any way as it can damage the integrity of the product and cause risk of plastic damage through the process.

  • Minimum order quantity (MOQ) for customization is 10,000 per bag type. If it does not cost us extra time or material to manufacture, we do not charge you extra. Customization option pricing will depend on the specifications. Some materials, such as black color or biodegradeable plastic will require 100,000 MOQ after samples approval.

  • Please provide diagrams and specifications (drawn is fine) so that we understand your request. Complimentary sample will be provided for approval prior to moving forward with a customized bulk order.

What are shipping and handling times?

  • We encourage all of our customers to set up their own shipping or pick up the items directly from our warehouses. 

  • If you wish for us to set up your shipping we will always look for the best option in terms of price. Shipping charges vary by the location, size and time request of your order.

  • If you do not have a blanket order, your bags will be made to order and you must allow time for processing, manufacturing, and overseas shipping as well as any shipping from our warehouse in Southern California, to yours. That said, shipping can range from 1 week to 6 weeks, depending on the mode of shipping.  We will provide an approximate date of delivery prior to confirming any order.

  • We will email you and will supply tracking numbers.

  • Bags are manufactured to order; therefore, if we do not have your order in stock, it may take up to 14 days after you pay for your order to manufacture your bags and ship them. Since inventory comes in a container by boat, it takes at least 20-45 days. We will let you know if we have the inventory stateside. Please plan accordingly. 

  • Our shipping charges vary by the size of your order. We strive to make costs as low as possible. You will be advised of shipping charges when you check out for your purchase. We choose the most cost-effective shipping available for you. 

  • We will advise you by e-mail when your order is shipped. We supply tracking numbers at that time.

  • Grow Bag Shop will not be held responsible for Fedex packages left at the door and lost if no one comes to receive the packages.

How much of each bag do you have?

  • Our www.growbagshop.com/shop page is updated frequently with stock and ETAs.

  • We do our best to ensure we have adequate inventory however we do not guarantee any particular inventory in our warehouse as the products and amounts are everchanging, anyone can call “dibs” with deposit and we will allocate inventory on a first come first serve basis so we are fair to all our customers.

  • We will periodically notify by email about current and incoming inventory and pricing

  • Any inventory that will be held aside is for Blanket Order customers with ongoing weekly, monthly or quarterly contracts for their needs will not be up for sale. We suggest you commit to a recurring order so that we can have a month's worth of bags always ready for you in the case of shipping or customs delays.

What do I need to know when ordering?

  • We manufacture in China and hold inventory in our Southern California warehouses. If we do not have your requested product, please understand that shipping is between 2-6 weeks.

  • Our minimum order is 1,000 per bag type, depending on the type of mushroom bag. For custom orders, minimum is 10,000. Some more specialized custom orders i.e. require significant material investment will require blanket order (can be spread over 12-24 months) agreements for 100,000-200,000 bags.

  • We encourage all of our customers to set up a blanket order for ongoing and stress-free efficient ordering. 

  • For each blanket order customer we will have extra product ready at all times. e.g. we deliver x product, while a 2nd batch of x product is stored in our warehouse at no cost, and a 3rd batch of x product in transit to replace the 2nd batch. That product allocated for the purchaser only.

  • Blanket orders can be set up for product weekly, monthly or quarterly

  • Blanket orders require a 20% deposit collected and held

  • Blanket orders can include shipping or allow customer to pick up from our warehouse or set up their own shipping service from our warehouse (authorization form as release waiver will need to be signed).

  • We manufacture and sell bags that are used for cultivation of fungi, production of spawn, etc. We do not consult on the procedures for growing these organisms. While we provide mushroom cultivation resources on this website, the information is for reference only. We cannot guarantee your results.

What is your return policy?

  • We only accept returns if we provide approval for such e.g. if there was an error on our part with your order or if there is a manufacturing defect with your bags. All return shipments must be freight prepaid.

  • There are no refunds, however we provide replacements for any products that failed use as expected (one run) and under an acceptable fail rate. Replacements are in the form of a credit or replenishment on the future order. 

  • Changes or cancellations must be made within 10 days of the order; deposit will be augmented, refunded or added to your account as a credit for your future order.
